Intaprop is using green building design principles for their latest development in the Illovo Boulevard situated at 8 Melvill Road. It is striving to achieve a four star green status for this prime corporate 2 502m² office development which is already fully let and should be completed by December 2012.
The building features the green technology of a VRV system which stands for “variable refrigerant volume”.  In principle this system is extremely efficient, reliable and saves energy, using a flow rate of refrigerant accurately matched to the required heating or cooling.  The building also boasts the latest generation of low energy lighting installations, motion sensing technology, rain water harvesting and grey water usage.
